Sixteen year old British soul singer Joss Stone has been creating a buzz because of a mature voice that belies her age. She was first discovered when she won the British TV series "Star For A Night." On her debut album "The Soul Sessions," she performs a group of covers of obscure sixties and seventies soul classics (and a remake of the White Stripes' "Fell In Love With A Boy"). On the album, she works with collaborators like Betty Wright, Latimore, Timmy Thomas, Angie Stone and the Roots.
The singer discusses life growing up in Devon, England, her love of sixties music, and the hard life of a former teen idol. www.chartattack.com/damn/2003/10/2210.cfm
