Ennio Morricone (1928-) was a classmate of Sergio Leone in Italy and forged a partnership with the director at the beginning of the "Spaghetti Western" period. His soundtrack for A Fistful of Dollars influenced almost all westerns from 1964 onward. Morricone wrote music for almost every genre of film.
