Born Larry Martin Hageman on 21 September 1931, actor Larry Hagman is best known for two completely different television roles. He played Major Tony Nelson on the 1960s sitcom I Dream of Jeannie and the scheming, double-dealing J. R. Ewing on the prime time soap Dallas. Hagman is the son of actress Mary Martin and a district attorney. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas.
