Contains web sites which are based in and serve the people of the Royal County of Berkshire, England. Berkshire is a county in central southern England, about 50 miles long from West to East. Its main town is Reading, and also includes the towns of Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead to the East, Bracknell and Wokingham in the South, and Newbury to the west. Berkshire is part of the Thames Valley, the river forming much of the northern border of the county and flowing through Reading, Maidenhead and Windsor. It is also known as the UK's Silicon Valley, due to the high number of high-tech businesses in the area.
