Originally known as "Ocean View", the town of Berkeley was named in 1866. Berkeley is the 4th largest city in Alameda County. Berkeley is located east of San Francisco. It is situated on the shore of the San Francisco Bay and stretching through its coastal plain and into a scenic range of foothills.
