Corte Madera is a small town of nearly 8,300 residents, located 12 miles north of San Francisco. Incorporated in 1916, the Town extends from San Francisco Bay on the east side of Highway 101 to Mt. Tamalpais on the west. It occupies an area of four square miles of land, plus surrounding water tidelands.
