Particle physics, often called High Energy Physics (HEP) deals with the smallest building blocks of everything around us - subatomic elementary particles. It is not about particles you could see under a microscope (e.g. dust particles) and it is not about chemical molecules. The World Wide Web was invented by particle physicists at CERN.
