The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints broke from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1850s over issues of sucession to the presidency after the death of Joseph Smith.
They are headquartered in Independence, Missouri. On April 6, 2001, the name of the church officially changed to the Community of Christ.
